Terms of Service

1. Who can use Ekarom

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. You may only have one account, and you must not use Ekarom if you have been removed from it before.

2. Your account

• Give accurate information and use photos that are of you.
• Keep your password private — you are responsible for activity on your account.
• Identity verification is optional. A verified badge means the member confirmed an ID and selfie with us; it is not a guarantee of anyone's behaviour.

3. How you must behave

You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, bully, stalk or intimidate anyone.
• Post nudity, sexual content involving minors, hate speech, violence or illegal content.
• Impersonate others, create fake profiles or misrepresent your identity.
• Ask anyone for money, promote businesses, spam, or scam other members.
• Use bots, scrape data, or interfere with the app or other members' accounts.

You are responsible for your interactions with other members, online and in person. Read our safety tips before meeting anyone.

4. Content you share

You keep ownership of the photos and text you add. You give Ekarom a licence to host, display and process that content so the service can work (for example, showing your profile to other members). We may remove content that breaks these terms.

5. Events

Events listed in the app are organised by Ekarom or our partners. Marking yourself “interested” does not reserve a place. Any price shown is paid to the venue or organiser, not in the app. Attend at your own discretion and follow the venue's rules.

6. Premium and coins

• Ekarom is free to use. Premium and coins are optional purchases made in the app; payments are processed by Chapa.
• Premium gives the benefits shown in the app for the period you buy. Coins are a virtual item with no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money.
• Unless the law requires otherwise, purchases are non-refundable. If you were charged in error, contact us at info@ekarom.com.

7. Suspension and deletion

We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms or put other members at risk. You can delete your account at any time — see how to delete your account.

8. Disclaimers and liability

Ekarom is provided “as is”. We don't guarantee matches or that the service will always be available or error-free. We do not run criminal background checks on members. To the extent the law allows, Ekarom is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the conduct of any member on or off the app.

9. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; we'll tell you in the app before important changes take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
